The North Texas Mean Green (0-6, 0-3 Conference USA) were defeat at Apogee Stadium by the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (6-1, 0-4 Conference USA) 28-55 on Thursday, Oct. 15 at Denton. DaMarcus Smith threw four touchdown passes in his first career start for the Mean Green.

Thanks for posting. Sorry Harry, there  was absolutely nothing "respectable" about the WKU game. They beat us at home like a P5 should beat us at the P5's home stadium.

WKU is a conference foe and has had a football program since the early 2000s. Then again, their athletic director isn't Rick Villarreal.

WKU is demolishing every G5 team in their path.  Let's not paint this like UNT is the only one they thrashed.

Western Kentucky had something we never had when they moved up to FBS in 2007--they already had a very solid and supported athletic department because of their basketball success. They got big crowds every year for basketball, so they knew that the support of a FBS move up would be achievable and would be successful once they got their feet set.

They have a very high ceiling, in my opinion, as high as anyone in CUSA. They don't tolerate losing at all...

They are a conference foe. Just because that loss wasn't as embarrassing as the previous week doesn't make it respectable.
