Holy S...their locker room makes ours look like a middle school's and their filmroom has theater seating with permanent custom seats?  Meanwhile, we're still stuck with foldout chairs in a blank room.

We need to take notice of this as a University. Our training facility, though better than it used to be, is not very competitive with our peers. we need to seriously look into building an indoor facility where the Dickey filed is and expanding the training facilities (especially the weight room and meeting rooms) to take a step forward. gathering the funds for something like that would also help us recruit a better coach. notice most of the schools that have gone out and recruited coaches "above their level" have done so with the promise of major facilities improvements already set in motion (UH and SMU fit the bill).

We had our new athletic facility and stadium open & with the coaches we had they didn't recruit well enough to compete with other schools since we have had only one winning year in Football since 2005. If we had a coach & a well run program, athletes would come to UNT.

I'm sorry that none of y'all could see this coming but our facilities aren't good.  Just look at the most recent protect, the basketball practice facility.

It looks like it belongs in a trailer park or some warehouse building.  It's pretty sad how much money we're wasting.

Here's a tweet from @meangrenbasketball.... Painted green cinder blocks and fold up chairs.... This looks like a middle school basketball teams meeting room, not a division 1 school.

It has already been announced that we are updating the Athletic Center lobby, the locker room and the meeting room (including adding stadium seating). Already paid for and everything.

That's fantastic. Better and more lighting could go a long way as well. More wall art helps as well.

I thought I read something recently that said we were looking to upgrade our athletic center soon.

I wish you read something recently that said we were looking to upgrade our athletic director soon...

Thought I had read somewhere that ULL was also planning a $57 Million renovation to Cajun Field.

One major RCAF goal is to fund the two major projects in Tier 2 of the three-tier athletic facilities master plan, including the $57 million renovation of Cajun Field and its adjacent athletic administration building, and the total renovation of the Moore Field baseball complex. All three projects in Tier 1 have been finished or are in the final stages of completion, including the Athletic Performance Center set to open Sept. 1.

BTW..since we have so many new posters I can see how it might be that after reading about all the amazing things ULL is doing some may think that this is the result of the direction ofa long term and stable athletic director?

Nope. ULL has had 3 AD's since RV has been here....and at one point spent two years without a full time AD prior to naming Walker..who replaced Schexneyder.

Nelson Schexneyder

David Walker

Scott Farmer

NT spent a fraction on the Athletic Center compared to ULL, so of course theirs is going to have nicer amenities.  I don't recall how much it cost ...perhaps 10 million at best?

Here we are criticizing our Athletic Department for "wasting" money.  The real problem is we need more people to donate money so we can get nice digs like what ULL is building.  We have people refusing to donate to the program because they don't agree with who is running the program, so odds are things won't be improving in the short term, and part of that will be our own fault.
