If you plan on contacting President Smatresk, write a letter to him.  Since emails are being directed to RV, don't send emails!  Treat this situation like it is your personal business (and it is!).  I encourage you to do it the "old fashioned way" and write respectful letter.  Spend the .49 cents and mail your issues to President Smatresk.  And when you address the envelope, be sure to include "PERSONAL AND CONFIDENTIAL".  No excuse for him not getting letters for him to open.  JUST DO IT!

Doesn't he have help with that regard as far as letters from alumni and such that are read before they even make it to him? Even if you address them to President Smastrek, I am asking that as a serious question.

I wonder if Smatresk has his secretary open his letters first and check for smallpox/sars before he'll touch them. Is university president that high of a profile position to have one of those? Hmmmm

Does everyone really think that a physical letter cannot be scanned or copied and sent to RV? There is not a way to send something that cannot be sent on. The best way to keep it from moving on without your name on it is to have a face to face conversation.

So then shouldn't there be a group of 100-200 of us descending on Hurley and then the athletic center looking for his resignation?

For the 10/31 game, everyone get one if these pitchforks: http://www.partycity.com/product/collapsible%20pitchfork%2043in.do?kwid=collapsible%20pitchfork%2043in&qcid&ref=ci&extcmp=pla%7cGoogle

Then dress as a farmer or angry villager, and them we can stand around the glass doors that lead to the elevator.  We can all say "hi" to Rick when he comes in.

Wasn't there a student talking about doing something similar?

At the very least stand outside Hurley with signs and get yourself on the NT Daily.

Go viral or go home, I always say.
