Not sure many of us care if they are tweeting or facebooking, except when they decide to take their frustrations out on the fans and students, who have every right to criticize this team after what went down last weekend.

But yes Canales needs to make example of several players if they are going to ignore his rules he placed.

I honestly don't care other than it shows complete defiance and disrespect.  Sed Ellis tweeted something along the lines of glad he didn't have to worry about debt when he graduates with a big smiley face ( During Canales ban on social media) in rebuttal to a student talking crap about their performance last Saturday.  This has spun out of control fast.  We need help in a bad way.

This is correct. Naming Chico Interm was the worst possible decision that could have been made. Then again, that's what the person making these decisions does, so is anyone really surprised?

If the players are as checked out as they were for Portland St, we may be looking at 80 being hung on us at home by a conference foe.

Let that sink in.

Who the hell did you want them to promote? The last time he was made HC the team played a lot better and I suspect the same thing will happen this year.

Disagree, naming Cosh would've been far and away the worst decision.

There are a few players that post to twitter that represent this university and themselves pretty poorly.

 

Also, while on topic... there are some fans that might be a little too fanny for me based on some of the stuff I see on social media.

Unless there are suspensions handed out however long or short, then he is not serious or has COMPLETELY lost the team in 5 days which may be a new record for a program that is racking up dubious records.

Was it a total ban or a ban on team commentary?

I heard it to say a total ban until after the game today so they would be focused.

Too fan-ish. A little over-obsessive if you will.  Perhaps the fervor pendulum has swung too far to one side....

 

And that is coming from someone who has watched UNT football games with his dad since he was ten. 

 

Then again, maybe anyone who is a fan of UNT athletics has a disorder...

      Is this what an “offensive genius” looks like?

      The defense was disastrous last night but stop with this "offense did enough to win" crap. A 3 and out and interception in the first 2 drives is not doing enough to win. Were it not for a defensive stop after the onside kick and a Porter 79 yard run, we'd have been down 21-0 and counting. Yes, the defense needs to do more but what high powered offense puts up 7 in a half? This team did the same crap last year. No offense in the first half and then when we put up garbage time points people say "look at the offense." The offense is bordering bad. Tulsa put up 46 on UTSA. Texas State put up 49 and even Rice put up 29. Just to show you where our "high powered offense" stands.

      Atrocious in "all 3 phases" (that onside kick was a film study discovery by UTSA) but E Morris is just a horrible game manager. Just stupid decisions on multiple levels. I wish we weren't in the bowl hunt so Caponi could be fired if at least as a symbolic action to show the rest of the staff (minus Cobbs) they need to step it up a bunch. To the decision making, it's all been said. The timeout at 2nd and 16 with 49 seconds to go when most offenses would just let the clock run out to close the half, not taking reasonable field goal attempts early on, poor playcalling (honestly surprised a screen didn't get intercepted), these things fall on Eric Morris. Just garbage level game management. It's like he's playing a video game where there's no real consequences. Time of possession was about 39 to 21 in UTSA's favor. I know Porter had huge runs but UTSA also had huge plays. Why is it that others are capable of sustaining drives and eating clock but our "elite" offense can't do so? Defenses aside, you'd think our supposed top notch offense could be more consistent. I know our defense needs to make stops more consistently but anybody please tell me why our offense isn't capable of having some 6 or 7 minute scoring drives? Morris needs to relax on the pace of game. Just idiotic at this point.
