On a positive Note - SackNSave remodel in full swing

Did anyone else notice when driving in for the game that the SackNSave building is being refurbished and there is some major construction going on in that spot?  Looks like they are moving towards addressing the front porch of the university in more ways than one!

Only way this can excite me is if it is the North Texas Home for Retired Athletic Directors.

That one is already built! I saw it Saturday. It is blue with white trim and overlooks the lake on the west side.

They are using the existing building? A cheaply built big box structure? that can not be right

It's temporary from what I understand.  Office space is in short supply on campus and once many of the construction projects complete the old building will be razed and a new building will go up in its place.

If they can fix it up like Denton County did with the old Food Lion then it should be fine, but if they are not going to remodel the outside then it is a waste and looks like crap

From what I remember from the DRC stories about it, they're not spiffing it up really, just renovating it so it will work as an office building for a few years.

Once the construction for I-35E is all done they're gonna tear it down and build better stuff. If you find the Masterplan layout maps they show a bunch of classroom and dorm buildings all over there, including on the other side of Ave C where Pancho's and Rockin Rodeo are.
