Looks like we might try the same thing.  Women AD's are pretty rare.  North Texas should have a greater chance of getting a better candidate from the under represented gender.

Don't care what gender the AD is.  Hell, a female AD may have more fire to get the job done right just to prove to the comfortable male fatcats that run college athletics she belongs.  I'm all for it.

Absolutely.  Although a man might more qualified and might do a better job, we need to be sure to hire a woman so that we can make a woman-empowering statement.  Some things are more important than winning.  Or raising money.  Or excelling in any respect.
