Why do people continue to think this is a poor program.

It isn't.

We did yesterday what EVERY self respecting FBS program in the country would have done under the same circumstances. Let's see if it continues this week with the dismissal of a terrible athletic director.

Please stop with these stupid threads that assume we are the same school we were in 1982.

We aren't. Far from it. What has held us back is a hustle game by an AD that doesn't want anymore coaching hire failures on his record. That's why Tony B outlasted Mac.

Hopefully we will be rid of this AD later this week.

That is what EVERY other FBS program would do.

Maybe we are seeing the first steps toward a real commitment to athletics. Maybe not. We shall see.

But we are eons past 1982, so this fan board needs to start acting like it.

Stop calling my posts, stupid, Stupid.

I called your post stupid, not you.

And your post is stupid. Maybe you weren't around at halftime to see the 6 million in new donations announced to the athletic department.

Hell, this isn't even 2000 UNT, where we celebrated a 1 million donation by Matress Mac like it was our salvation.

If you don't want your posts called stupid, don't post stupid crap.

Did I miss an extra three million somewhere?

Was it 3? Lol. I guess I was too busy leaving to notice.

Point still stands. This isn't 2000 UNT. We aren't poor.

Lovelace is the major donor behind baseball.  He and possibly a couple of others have committed enough supposedly to get us to the point we can get financing.  I have not seen anything that the buyout will affect baseball, but I could easily see it delaying things, which would suck.

Baseball will never get started as long as RV is AD, he has had plenty of chances and now years later we are still waiting. He is such a fundraising genius, yet can not get the funds to start baseball?

Time to clean house on Bonnie Brae, show some cajones BOR and do the right thing

I am more concerned that baseball does not get delayed and RV makes the coaching hire. THAT would be the real travesty here.

He's done fairly well at being in sports other than football and basketball so there's a decent chance he wouldn't mess it up.

The coach who was verbally signed, sealed and delivered prior to the whole UNT accounting debacle (completely unrelated to anybody on Bonnie Brae), has since been making one hell of a national name for himself, kicking some serious ass and taking some serious names.
