Coach Mac, thank you for your passion, enthusiasm, and work ethic demonstrated during your tenure.  None of those were ever in doubt.  I'm glad we all got to enjoy some fruits of it in the 2011 season and especially in the 2013 season.  It's time for everyone to move on, but I wish you and yours all the best.

Was it just me or did it appear as though the team refused to follow him on to the field after halftime.  I think I knew then that it was all over.  I came down to Tasty's seats, and I could see it in the players' faces.

RV had no choice if he wanted to make it through the weekend.  I still think he retires at the end of the year.

What say all you naysayers that assured us Mac would not be fired for another 1 or 2 years?  This is a different UNT.  Not Alabama, but not the old UNT.

Agreed that it was time to let him go. I'll always remember the 2013 season and how much fun it was to follow the team at that time. Thanks for that coach Mac, and best wishes for the future.

I just think that he never thought much of us as a university community, and likely figured we didn't have the cojones to step up. I'm pleasantly surprised myself.

As the anger fades away, I do wish him the best. Just too much stubbornness there. I hope he stays in the game for a few more years as a position coach somewhere. As long as it's in a different zip code.
