That's bushleague or bush-league.  It comes from the the old minor league baseball system.  A small pro or semi-pro league made up of podunk towns out in the sticks (or the bush).

Autocorrect . It's a function on a Samsung Galaxy which is a hand held electronic device that spells things the way it wants if you aren't paying very close attention.

Sanctity of a Homecoming Court? Ridiculous statement. UNT goes out of its way to look foolish and thinks it's being progressive, but it's really not, it's college kids drawing attention to themselves anyway they can, then everyone gets butt hurt because people look down their noses at our school.

Sorry, I happen to be a moderate who doesn't give a shit about people's political crusades. Including Homecoming courts, marriage certificates, the PC police, or whatever crap is on the news tonight.

Point is, UNT has a history of jackassery and it will continue on many levels because it can't get over being Bush League. Then people wonder why it's hard to recruit great local talent on our sports teams. Perception is a big problem for UNT.

I'm pretty sure a large portion of the south was looking down their nose at us when NT became the first Texas program to integrate with Abner Haynes in 1957. I'd say that worked out pretty well for us.

I'm pretty sure no one noticed because we've been irrelevant before 1957. Everyone looks down their noses at us for a shit ton of reasons that Abner Haynes was never a part of. Abner Haynes has nothing to do with us being a punchline. Regardless of how you spin it. Revisionist history be damned. Go ahead and shit on just the South like every narrow minded person does. This wasn't a race conversation but good try. Typical...

Take your race baiting somewhere else.

Ya, cause it's exactly the same thing...

Alright alright, I'm going to get ahead of this before its locked as I seemingly do every year since I authored the SGA legislation that made the changes.

We altered the Homecoming Court as a compromise, reflecting a shared human dignity that is not bound by binary labeling. Why? Because it was the right thing to do. You and I do not possess any right to hold someone else to the gender identities and roles that do not fit them.

And trust me, there are a lot more of us queer folk on this board and in your lives than you may ever think.

Well said. This seems like common sense to me... Amazed when people do not understand.

Ya, cause it's exactly the same thing...

Yes, allowing people to have the rights that never should have been questioned in the first place. Both cases, same thing. He had the ability and got to play football in college, like it should be. She showed more spirit, loves her school, and had the respect and votes of the majority, and won, like it should be.

Lol.

America, where we celebrate self mutilation and ignore the huge mental problems behind it. All so we can feel better about ourselves.

Very insensitive of you. Women can do what they like to their own bodies.

I also doubt you say that to a breast cancer survivor.

We aren't talking about Bruce/Kaitlyn Jenner here. This appears to be a born woman that doesn't like to wear dresses. I don't get why that bothers you  and @UNTexas so much.

first off...to the bolded part...what an incredibly fun jump in logic that is.

secondly...you argument falls apart when you actually take the time to do even the laziest of research in the form of a quick google search...as found in examples one , two ...and, even our most bitter and hated of rivals three . effing lumberjacks (and jills!)

clearly you do "give a shit". otherwise you'd just stfu about it.
