UNT never misses an opportunity to makes itself a punchline.

(And before some try and bash me I call bs. A dude shouldn't be a allowed to run for a girls spot. Just like a girl shouldn't be allowed to run for a dudes spot. He isn't allowed in their bathrooms, locker rooms or on their teams because he's a male.)

But hey, look on the bright side, UNT sucks on the field but makes up for it with making itself a punchline.

Times are changing. I have no problem if the homecoming queen doesn't want to wear a dress. She has school spirit which is more than you can say about many of the students there when I attended. I'd have voted for her just based on this video.

I guess Im old fashion but a girl should look like a girl not a guy no matter how spirited she is. When your little girl dresses like a princess/Queen they dont wear a suit. Queen Elizabeth was the manliest Queen out there and I dont think she ever wore a suit on the thrown.

Alright alright, I'm going to get ahead of this before its locked as I seemingly do every year since I authored the SGA legislation that made the changes.

We altered the Homecoming Court as a compromise, reflecting a shared human dignity that is not bound by binary labeling. Why? Because it was the right thing to do. You and I do not possess any right to hold someone else to the gender identities and roles that do not fit them.

And trust me, there are a lot more of us queer folk on this board and in your lives than you may ever think.

I'm more curious why college students in the fifties and earlier all looked like they were forty five years old.

You raise a very important question here.  88 looks like a slightly older Mr. Belding

Sanctity of a Homecoming Court? Ridiculous statement. UNT goes out of its way to look foolish and thinks it's being progressive, but it's really not, it's college kids drawing attention to themselves anyway they can, then everyone gets butt hurt because people look down their noses at our school.

Sorry, I happen to be a moderate who doesn't give a shit about people's political crusades. Including Homecoming courts, marriage certificates, the PC police, or whatever crap is on the news tonight.

Point is, UNT has a history of jackassery and it will continue on many levels because it can't get over being Bush League. Then people wonder why it's hard to recruit great local talent on our sports teams. Perception is a big problem for UNT.

@MeanGreenD and @oldguystudent,  @Cerebus is correct, those folks were 30 years older than when they were the actual homecoming court.

Appreciate y'all clearing that up, but the fact remains....88 looks like Mr. Belding.

Which means they played a tackle football game at 50+.  Hardcore.

By comparison the last time I played QB at a family touch football game my arm almost fell off the next morning.

That is pretty impressive.

That's bushleague or bush-league.  It comes from the the old minor league baseball system.  A small pro or semi-pro league made up of podunk towns out in the sticks (or the bush).
