My protest to the current direction of Football and the AD. I will have at least a black shirt on maybe a black cap if I can find it. 

Or on a more positive note to support the change at AD and cleaning of house that will follow. 

Either way I am going have on black clothes.

I believe my black cap is a North Texas Cap, I had a black golf shirt with the SOW on it but I think it is gone now.

Remember the last time we wore all black to send a message! That was well received by the fans!

I don't think that was generated by the fans, but it was to give are RV a big middle finger as I remember.

How come more people aren't talking about the paper bag idea? I'd do it... and it'd get more attention than an attire color.

I already have mine staged, per a previous post. Still looking for a black armband to "accessorise" and may have to "repurpose" an old black sock.

Agree - was just giving you all a hard time. I'm not wearing black for this game, but may protest the rest by just not showing up...

Doesn't sound too intimidating but when you have a whole stadium basically waving little white flags in your face, you get the message.

Arkansas did this when we played them in '07. They wanted Houston Nutt gone. They had 3 NFL running backs on that team plus a dick playing quarterback and he was still hated.

      What's the appeal of Carthel? Honest question. I don't follow FCS closely, but it seems like every time a position opens up at UNT people on the board want Carthel to fill it. I see he won the NCAA Division II championship in 2017 and has an overall record of 89–48 which are both impressive. However, his run at SFA from a W/L perspective looks similar to Seth's at UNT in that he built up the program in a few years, but he seems to be plateauing over the past few years. I'd love to hear more about what the advocates see in him and why he'd be a good fit for UNT specifically.

      Odus Mitchell - What Exactly are Too High Standards at UNT?

I love the legend of Mean Joe anyone under 50 can remember seeing prime NFL Mean Joe playing. There is no Joe Greene in a North Texas uniform without Odus Mitchell. We have low expectations because with dismiss what Mitchell showed us was possible here. Heaps of excuses and disgruntled fans attacking each other on our board. Odus Mitchell is the kind of "Old Denton" I want. And MAYBE if we truly honored him properly and consistently as the MOST IMPORTANT FIGURE in Mean Green Football history we could knock off some of the negative karma. The Mean Joe Coke commercial is cute but is never something remotely associated with UNT Football without Mitchell rebuilding the program from WWII hiatus, winning, integrating CFB in Texas, and bringing Mean Joe to Denton. Hayden Fry doesn't have enough in Denton to come and rescue without Mitchell. How this program has underachieved for 20 years is an insult to his legacy imo. I wasn't alive for his tenure and likely you weren't either. But legacy is about what you can read about when there aren't cute videos!
