An idea I had was, in addition to having former athletics on this Committee, what about having 2-3 "voices of the average" from say GoMeanGreen.com. Harry could objectively pick these die hard fans for their input. Committee could be made up of 6-8 former athletes and 2-3 GMG fans. No offense, but some fans on here may not be cut out for this committee. No naming here but you know who you are! Just another thought provoking subject.

I really love the idea. The big problem is that no one in a prominent position has any incentive to welcome something like this, especially inviting average joes. How many of you are aware that a significant number of people in the Athletic Department call GoMeanGreen.com "the Idiot Board"?

The people I've spoken to aren't shy about it either. In the rare occasions they come to this forum, it is to seek out the most overly-dramatic comments to A) mock and B) use as evidence/reassurance that they're the smartest people in the world. Sometimes, when someone says something particularly outlandish I want to quote it saying "we don't all feel this way" just so they can't be douchebags and say, "look what all these morons think..."

Right?? I mean, I won't beat my chest and say I know any high ups (I doubt they'd have the gall to say that), but if anyone in the department feels comfortable saying that as they walk the hallways, I think it's safe to say that it's part of the culture.

To clarify, "winning" to me is more than being a one year wonder. You guys know that I am talking about, winning year in and year out, being in bowls and winning them, going to the NCAA'S consistently, getting women's BB in contention, etc.
