2 Win Season Predicted, Maybe 3

The FPI index also generates a likelihood of winning each game. We are 67% favorites over Portland State (is that all?), and 57% favorites over UTEP. This changes with time but you can see we may even have a shot at UTSA. So, best guess 2-10 season. #HIT1

If we get to 2 wins, I'll be surprised. That SMU loss told me we couldn't beat another FBS program on our schedule. I figure the only one we have a possible chance to win is that last home game here against UTEP, only because they, too, may be so beaten down by the season that they have given up. But even that scenario is doubtful.

I think we will be doing good to just beat FCS Portland State on Homecoming.

To put it another way, I think the odds of us going defeated for the whole season are higher than for us to win two games...

Depending on how bad SMU finishes out the year, we may look even more worse then a 0-12 team. And I didn't think that was possible......

I figured SMU would win one game this season, probably against FCS James Madison. They lost that one, so the win over us makes me think that will probably be it for them this year. They just don't have depth or enough developed talent to compete yet. Next year, they will be better--maybe even bowl eligible.
