Now that the players have publicly turned their anger toward the fans, rather than their own shortcomings or their opponents, we're in for a real treat!  McCarney has circled the wagons and dug in about 10ft.  McNulty is the man, but we're going to ride Jeff Wilson as far as he'll take us...

Southern Miss is trying to scratch & claw their way back to the top of C-USA, where they used to reside consistently.  They're going to see this weekend's game as a chance to kick around a conference foe to set a tone for the remainder of their conference slate.

Y'all, this game has a chance to get ugly.  Southern Miss will come out and score quickly.  They'll take something like a 24-10 lead into halftime, but by the time the 4th quarter starts, it will be something like 38-13.

Final:
UNT: 20
SoMiss: 45

USM--40+, at least one TD from a turnover

UNT--less than 20, with one TD scored late in the game.

UNT AD, BOR, and HFC--we are doing fine, staying within budget, providing a great value, helping to create great fathers and husbands

UNT 15 BMDs--loving this time with RV and hearing his awesome jokes and stories, as well as his "vision"--BOR are fun, too.

Rest of the remaining UNT faithful--this is one more game closer to me just walking away, realizing I wasted months, years, decades of my life on this charade.

Other 98% of UNT alumni, students, faculty, and citizens of Denton County--why would I follow that team? My t-shirt is burnt orange, maroon, crimson, black, purple, etc...

Southern Miss has been giving up yards to teams with a mobile quarterback.  They have faced Dak Prescott, Tyler Jones, and Tommy Armstrong.  Of those three, Tyler Jones of Texas State is probably at least as good as Tommy Armstrong and better than Dak Prescott.  Jones is very underrated nationally.

Nebraska's Armstrong rushed 7 times for 75 yards, Mississippi State's Prescott rushed 8 times for 79 yards, and Texas State's Jones rushed 18 times for 184 yards.

As mobile as McNulty is...... Southern Miss 48 -14

45-17

McNulty isn't pulled until late in the fourth quarter, at which time Greer enters and promptly throws a pic 6.

This would be so North Texas, it isn't even funny...yet I'm laughing as I post this--how ironic!!

I am sad to say  this but I think Southern Miss will keep their foot on the gas pedal and beat us by 20 points or more.  They will shadow Jeff WIlson and make us beat them in the air.
