We have offered zero quarterbacks for this class. We have one listed offer in Easton Underwood, but in the article where Vito interviewed him he said that he was hopeful we would offer. So he hasn't been offered. This staff may be looking at a 5th juco QB signee in its 6th class.

Lol, y'all talkin bout QB offers...hahaha. I mean....would it really matter if we had 1-2-3 QB's currently committed. What are the odds of any one of them panning out with this staff recruiting them. Well...how many scholarship QB's do we currently have on the roster? 4 or 5? Well, that's 0 for 4/5. This staff is clueless on how to recruit and/or develop. It's embarassing. I am genuinely embarassed for them.

Good point. Still, the lack of effort is mind boggling, and makes it hard to see any major upswing in QB production going forward. This staff has signed 9 QBs already, and you're right that quantity of QBs isn't the issue.

Effort is what gets you places in recruiting. We need young players that can red shirt and spend every year in the system cultivating. Jucos are good, sometimes. Most teams do not just scoop a Juco every year at QB and have success. Some do, but not most.

I thought most programs take a HS QB every year...

We are obviously not most programs

If Mac does decide to go after another QB it is already to late to get in on anyone worth a damn. QB is the most valuable position in football, do you think most coaches wait till this long to start recruiting that position. IF we choose to recruit a QB be prepared for another Connor Means.

I think our staff should start with this list

and find some kids worth taking a look at.

Just me but I like Luke Skipper from Forney

I havent Watched any of these guys film but lets just go strictly off of their Senior Stats, Why Not offer them a scholarship??

Logan Bonner out of Rowlett Committed to Arkansas State back in April, Is there a reason why we dont go after any area QB's? Throw an offer his way and say "Your folks can come see you at every home game"

Ryan Ross, Lancaster

Why Not Luke Skipper? Looks pretty damn good on his feet and has 17 TD's with only 1 INT. Kids got great measurements at 6'2 almost 200 LBS. WHY NOT??

Hell even Jacoby Williams, who is a senior from Garland that has played at a high level doesnt have any activity that I can find on him. Whats His deal?

If this staff wanted a QB this class they would've started offering them months ago. I don't know why they wouldn't want one this class, but I can't say they've really made a single good move yet with regards to QB recruiting since they've been here.

Here is your answer. Just look at this Map, and how close all this talent is to UNT, and not a 1 on this list is even considering us. http://res.dallasnews.com/interactives/sportsday-top-recruits/

http://www.dallasnews.com/sports/high-schools/headlines/20151031-week-10-top-performers-cedar-hill-jr.-leads-passers-celina-qb-scores-7-times-sachse-sr.-provides-dual-threat.ece

Just peruse these lists and look at how many we have offered or would have offered if you want to use the Mac is gone ploy.  I coach in The Colony, see the talent that the Frisco, TC, and LE schools have and put out each year for the past three years.  Want to know how many of those kids UNT even offered let alone put the pressure on as far as recruiting?  In TC it was 0, sent 3 kids to the Navy, 1 to Iowa.  UNT didnt even sniff.  We have a RB this year who has 5 offers right now and UNT hasnt even offered.  He was invited to camp, brought several other kids with him.  It is absolutely mind blowing that you wouldn't try to get at least 4-5 kids from this district every year.
