The biggest news item I saw was that he now has DaMarcus even with Greer on depth chart. Mac seems to be warming up to him which is positive. He said "He has come a long way"

This was so tough to watch. My summary of McCarney's talk is that we need consistency in all 3 phases and this should be able to be resolved on the practice field. So, from my perspective, we need a new coach. These are McCarney's guys and he can't coach them into playing consistent. Done.

Like from Louisville, KY? Come on, it's not that far.

So let me see if I have this straight. We recruit arguably one of the best QBs to ever sign with us (at least on paper and according to a lot of others that make a living evaluating football talent), but we will only have his services, barring injury, for 24 regular season games. Three of these or 12.5 percent are already history, so now we have, at best, 21 games left. Our coaches want to, what, bring him along slowly? Don't get it. Don't get it at all.

When asked about the performance of the backup QBs, Coach Mac said "Neither one was sensational"

I almost threw my PC across the room! Never criticize McNulty and lay blame around all the other factors. However, Smith "wasn't sensational" on his 1 pass attempt on a 3rd & long from the shadow of his own end zone in a 62-16 game after 2 consecutive run plays were called.

I'm with ‌@emmitt01 on those conspiracy theories he laid out in another thread...

I could be wrong, but it could just be Mac teasing with us. Maybe he told Vito that he is a 2 with Greer. All I'm saying is that normally they put an -OR- there if they are equal.

Lots of emphasis on practice. I understand it some, but it just seems like too much. Like they can never go with their gut or make an adjustment in a special situation or circumstance.

I noticed he said "going into this week of practice" mcnulty is the starter.

Also mentioned wallace was not as good in practice and spring games as he was when the comp was better. A good coaching staff should know who can step it up when the lights are on and the comp is better.

He at least said some nice things about DaMarcus so hopefully that will help get him some playing time. I also wonder about Means and if he can get any reps this season.

According to those "in the know" Means is so far down the list, he'll be lucky to ever sniff mop up duty during his career. Yep, the staff gave another non-FBS level QB a scholly. But hey he's 6'3", who cares that he can't hit the broadside of a barn........

He and Chumley are our two young QBs yet we haven't offered any 2016 QBs and we won't give the one tall QB who did have good offers so much as a chance. And then people still end up shocked by how bad our QB play is.

Serious political, legal type of stuff needs to take place to force Mccarney's hand or force him into resignation. I am starting to think the BOR has their hand up Smastrek's back and strings attached to his hands.
