Consistency in practice?

How 'bout consistency in games?

So DMac says this: "“We would like to use Smith more if he is more consistent in practice,” McCarney said. “That is what we are looking for. He has athleticism that he has had since high school and junior college, but you have to have that trust factor with the guy out there taking the snap. It’s getting better each day, but it is not where we want it yet.”"

Yet somehow he still trusts AM to run the bus, are you kidding me. So <50% completions, 2x more INTs than TDs, fumbles galore, no rushing yards, yet the Ole Overpaid Ball Coach trusts him.

 

Good grief, time to just give up on this year with all this crappy coach speak.

But He's good at Practice!!!! What dont you understand!!! Sounds like a glorified Intramural champ that succeeds when it doesnt matter

no, I just see a defense lacking any morale whatsoever, a decent line that has protected McNulty OK, and Wilson have a very good game against Iowa. But if you'd rather ascribe to the fact that every facet of the team is trash be my guest.

0-3, getting beat by the worst team in FBS from last year that just lost to a FCS team, then losing in a less competitive game than the score indicated against a conference opponent, and then getting crushed by a P5 team that isn't exactly a world beater makes me believe, that, yes, most facets of this team are not good--at all. You can call it trashy even!!

The line has gotten pushed around, the passing game is sporadic, at best, and the defense and special teams are awful.

So, yes, I think we absolutely suck right now.

It all just makes me wonder what happens in practice that doesn't happen in games.  Beautiful spirals with touch, thrown where receivers can run under them and nothing underthrown or to the wrong colored jersey?

It's all green and white in practice so no throws to the wrong color!
