Headed to 10/10 game and need help with our tailgating plan

My family and I will be travelling from Denver to the UNT - Portland State game on 10/10. We will have a decent sized group (12+) that will be joining us and we need some help with our tailgating plan. None of us have tailgated at Apogee and only a few of us have experience tailgating in the Fouts parking lot back before Apogee. So would anyone mind helping us out on picking an ideal place? We aren't picky, but ideally we would like to be close to the other tailgating action and we would like some grass for the kids to play on so that they aren't stuck on a parking lot surface. Any suggestions you can provide will be greatly appreciated!

I found this map on the Mean Green Sports page, but not sure where the ideal location(s) are. Thank you and Go Mean Green!

Unless you can get a red or blue parking pass you'll have to park at Fouts. If you work your way to the farthest point from the Super Pit there is some grass and an intramural field down there. Fouts has tailgaters, but the more dedicated ones, IMO, are in the Red/blue lots. The walk over from Fouts a cross the bridge is not bad at all.

      couldn't agree more. my dream scenario is that all three of our CSU transfers are our key bench players next season...so we still need 4-5 starters (I might be penciling in Stinson as a starter...)

      I like the size, but a lot of freshman and sophomores so far. I'd like to get more veteran "experienced" players on the roster. We saw how it can help mesh the unit if the majority already knows the college game.

      That's essentially what I was leading to. Could we redirect that (some or all) to NIL for our rotation players. These are definitely expenses that show up on the AD financial statements. I'll admit, some of the accounting and back-and-forth from the university to the AD and then back to the university could definitely use some sunshine. What I've listed is basically direct expenses for a scholarship athlete. There are also indirect costs of the coaching staff's time to work with the players and develop their games. Our fully-loaded annual expense for the basketball coaching staff in FY24 was $1,825,690 or ~$130,00 per player per year. In the past, you hoped to get that investment back when they matured or became upperclassmen and moved into the starting line-up or rotation. Now, if they leave after a year or two, all that development accrues to a different program. Of course if we're bringing in similar transfers then we're the beneficiaries of another coaching staff's investment. We just need to hope they were as good or better than our staff at developing talent.
