I'm all for it. We have good running backs and quarterbacks that are inefficient passing the ball. I think it would work way better than what we have now and the drives would last longer. This would give the defense more time to rest whether we are uptempo or not.

One way to look at it is if you can't recruit players to execute your offense, change your offense to utilize the players you have.

That has probably been better said before by others on this Board.

I think many fans would agree with that statement.

Good coaches recognize when someone, or something doesn't fit, and makes adjustments accordingly. North Texas has talent in my opinion, enough talent to wins games, i just don't think we are utlizing all of our talent like we should be. #StatingTheProblemWithNoSolution

Side tangent: Using trick plays is another way of getting players with talent the ball. I've always wish North Texas would do more trick plays (that would definitely keep the fans entertained).

Agree. The effective thing to do would be to find ways to get the ball into the hands of our playmakers in space and let them make plays. And we DO have several bonafide playmakers on this team.

So if have been following along correctly the last couple of years, GMG has taught me that we should have hired a coach that runs the Princeton offense and we are not calling to convert our offense to the triple option.  I can only assume that when baseball starts up, we will most certainly be calling for a small ball manager.

This sounds swell.

The funniest thing to me about this thread is that this is almost exactly what I said about the Philadelphia Eagles to my couple of friends back in PA. #TebowFTW

A triple-option attack, run properly, is very effective and prolific at point production. We actually have a lot of the pieces in place to implement it.  Wouldn't it be wild to see us run a few plays in that offense to shake things up?  Is that too radical?

With the way UNT tends to grab good RBs and blocking linemen, this would work well. But you'd still need a solid QB to make passes to keep defenses honest.
