MGB: A look at UNT's QB situation Part II: UNT has to improve recruiting performance

UNT is always a tough sell and runs more of a pro-style offense, which can be a bit of a drawback when it comes to attracting quarterbacks.

Until Mac changes his 40 year old offensive philosophy, we will never attract a good quarterback.

I think the bigger problem is recruiting as a whole. Billy's written reams (or would if anyone printed things anymore) about how we haven't won recruiting battles very often, especially when the player has multiple FBS offers.

If Mac's boys were winning recruiting battles at every position except QB then I think we could safely say it's the offense. As it is, I bet it's really just another example of poor recruiting.

under-appreciated Derek Thompson finished his career with the Mean Green by leading them to a win in the Heart of Dallas Bowl

So tired of people, like Vito, bringing up DT and the bowl win in Dallas. This program is so far from the team that won the HOD Bowl so stop bringing in the past.
