I know most us are dealing with the apocalyptic situation our program is in. All that is fair.

This thread, though, is dedicated to any positives we can spin glean heading into the Iowa game.

  • Lot's of youngens (Mac mentioned 20 F/RSF getting playing time) getting experience for the future of the program
  • Carlos Harris is on pace for a monster year
  • Chris Loving is on a great yardage pace; Smith will get his. This bodes well for the receiving game (no, seriously)
  • Jimmerson is showing glimpses of Jimmerson of old. 6 ypc. On pace for decent production with his current usage
  • Willy Ivery looked ran well, and surprised me in between the tackles.
  • When given the chance, Thad Thompson moved those chains (I'm still high on him as a possession guy)
  • McClain and Bean are tackling machines
  • Oh are we getting Wilson back?

Anyone? Anyone?

bring him back for the Southern Miss game or Portland state

This could be a positive and a negative. But we'll be playing on ESPN U. (National attention)

Oh my...this is bad for the program, not good. Any pub is good pub...not true. Getting thrashed by a mediocre team on national television is bad publicity any way you dice it.

Good list!  Wilson's return (possible) but I would also add I saw lineman Rod Young all over the field again.  This kid is a true freshman from Houston and just playing so well.  I also am pleased with Keena's kickoffs -- in fact he may have the strongest kickoff leg I have seen at our program!   Also like you said the tight ends are very solid and I am particularly please to see Chris Loving come on like he has.

One can only hope that it is Coach Ferentz that is making that halftime speech wearing gold and black. :boom:

No one has to worry about getting their tailgate rained out this week.

My favorite so far.

But I did enjoy us going downfield more often than we did passing behind the LOS.

Also, enjoyed that same McNulty to Loving play in the slot 3 times in a row. If it ain't broke... Soon they'll have us chanting "McLoving!"

I thought true freshman Jordan Murray, 6-9, 360#, did a pretty good job in only his second FBS game.  Saw him miss a few blocks but also saw him bury some rice defensive linemen.  Overall a very good showing.  Gosh that kid is big!

1.) Gray is a freaking Stud!!! He going to have a hell of a year and an even better one next year.

2) We scored more than 20 points on Saturday. Garbage time or not, more than 20

3) D Bradley had a hell of a return. Hes a FR so I am looking forward to seeing what he can do down the road

Oh yeah, I forgot this one. Two weeks in a row I've been super impressed with his speed and ability.

Either or both Macs might get sentimental for Iowa, and not come back to Texas for the rest of the season.

That pizza place, man.
