It's early, but looking ahead I don't see a game we will be favored to win.  Maybe vs Portland State, but they already won a road game against a PAC 12 team.  This could get uglier.

We will probably beat Portland State on Homecoming. But that's it. Getting killed at SMU damn guaranteed this. That team is terrible--they are not better than any other FBS team on our schedule. 1-11 is the most realistic outcome for our coach who still has two more years beyond this one to run his 1970 Woody Hayes offense...

I don't see how there's NOT a change after 2-12 or less.

we don't do that kind of stuff, Matt...never have, never will. Buyouts are not happening if they are longer than a year. That's how we have gotten Vic Trilli, Todd Dodge, and Tony Benford. Mac will be here for another couple of years after this...

This team definitely plays better at home, even though it was 38-10 in the 4th.  The faux comeback today made it a little easier to stomach. The road games have been just god awful.

I'm only going to three more home games this year.  In some perverse sort of way, I'm kinda glad it's a 5 home game season.  I don't have to watch as much.

We're approaching Dodge years bad with this team.

Which brings up my plans for the LaTech game.  I've been planning on going to that since I first saw the schedule.  If things keep on keepin' on as they have been (hint:  they will), then I think I'm simply going to say that I'm going to LaTech and take a nice little road trip to Bossier/Shreveport where losing my rent money is less of a kick in the balls because at least I get free booze and a crappy bed to sleep in.

Since Mac won the HoD bowl with Dodge recruits, it sucks to realize that Mac could leave the program in WORSE shape than Dodge.

Edit: Don't shoot the messenger.

At the point of the "faux comeback" I really (for a few plays) thought that it was not impossible. We had time but it would have required a quick turnover; obviously, Rice was not  cooperating today in that department.
