McNulty didn't look much worse than Derek Thompson today, I don't think. He has bad pocket awareness and doesn't really improvise, but he can complete simple routes, even that deep pass to Harris. The line is just worse than it was two years ago and the backs aren't as consistent. A killer running game propped Thompson up as much as anything and McNulty doesn't have that.

Garbage time TD doesn't mean a whole helluva a lot. The 3 and out early in the 3rd is where we needed him to make a play and he had 2 bad throws.

I would take any DT start over lil mac anyday.
