Don't get me wrong, I'm pulling like hell for the victory this weekend but....

I fear society as we know it will collapse into anarchy if we win this week. It will mean everything we thought we knew really meant nothing.

I expect us to put up a hell of a fight though.

"hosing" yes I re read it.  It is there.  Just more proof that this was not written by Vito.  A professional beat writer would have reviewed his own work for misspellings, not just hit spell check.

are you sure you have read his stuff before?

Well, he did say the Mean Green was going to win.  Maybe he was just emphazing that thought while exercising his literary freedom of expression.

So what happens if McNulty comes out and throws for 250 yards 2 TDs and no INTs and NT still loses? Would yall be mad about having to see another week of McNulty?

He would need 3 games of 2 TD's with no picks to get his TD:Int ratio to 1:1 so yes. While it is entirely possible this could happen, it is also entirely improbable

I'm not sure exactly what you're getting at, but with that stat line he would probably deserve to start the following game.

However, I don't really expect that to be his stat line.

I guess what I'm getting at is it seems like people want him to fail now just to see Smith. They dont really want to see him do good or have an above avg game, bc that would mean the leash gets longer. I really dont know what its going to take for McCarney to pull McNulty. I really dont want to see Greer. The only way we get to see Smith is if there is an epic failure through multiple games. I just dont see Mac going through what we went through last year.

I guess the question made it seem like I'm a believer in him. I'm not. I will wait for him to prove me wrong, but I'm rooting for him to prove me wrong. Im not rooting for him to fail just to see Smith. That would mean Im rooting for NT to lose and losing is not acceptable.

Don't know why you were getting -1'ed, so I +1'ed you.

To answer the question, nothing would make me happier than McNulty ripping off an all conference run from here on out.

Do I have my doubts about him? Yes.  Would I love to be proven wrong? YES.

Do I have my doubts about Coach Mac? Yes.  Would I love to be proven wrong? YES.

Do I have my doubts about the AD? Yes.  Would I love to be proven wrong? YES.

I just want to win, I don't care about being right.  I'll gladly be wrong to WIN.

I would be truly impressed if that happens.

i would still be mad.  Rice has a weak secondary, so good stats are possible.  McNulty was putting a decent game together last year until he got hurt.  He could also get decent stats in garbage time.  250 yards and 2 TDS sounds good, but how many Inc passes?  How many sacks?

I was willing to give him a chance and he played horrible. It didnt look as bad as greer at UT, but he played scared.  He choked.  Horrible reads, bad throws, and the runs were there.  He could have run several times.

Even if we beat Rice, that means they are horrible. if mcnulty beats them we will still only win 4 games.  Rice needs to end this for us.  Sorry.  I'm just being real.  You go through a whole spring and off season and play scared?  Only urgency was when we were down 2 scores and all he did was try to throw it up for grabs to harris.  Harris is 5'7 man...embarassing.  dajon sucked, but at least he sucked trying to make a play.
