Who was the UNT player of the game against SMU?

keena put us in position to score the TD early and we blew it! He then was going to stick SMU at the one and our players collided. His leg kept us in the game early by giving us great position. Offense couldn't capitalize on it.

I'm not sure any of those stood out that much, Jimmy had a few decent runs, why we didn't stick with the stretch more amazes me it was the most successful play we had.

Bean had 10 tackles -- I thought Gray made some great plays.  There were some good performances on defense for sure.

No one. Player of the game (in my mind) are reserved for W's. Sure, there were bright spots here and there. Not nearly enough of them and zero were on offense, obviously.

Bean made some plays, but I think he also missed some pretty big ones too, had some huge missed tackles or bad angles. Granted, that was after the O had them on the field 2/3 the game.  Gray impressed with his physicality. One thing got me fired up, all the trash talking we did that was unwarranted and looked stupid. Just shut your mouth and make plays.

I hope that the defense just got tired, because we saw this same thing last year from the defense. When they needed to make a play (thinking of the UTSA game) they could not.

I liked Gray, but I think I was a little more impressed with Fernandes.

Dre Bradley looked real good on that KR. Not as a returner, per se, but he looked fast with that long stride and had great acceleration.
