I am as inferior to everybody else on this board as they are inferior to me.  My way is right, their way is infallible, my shade of green is better than their more correct shade of green, and I pay a high percentage of my personal income than they do sacrifice their families' groceries to purchase that extra season ticket. Fry street was better during my era than Hayden Fry was the best coach during theirs.

I live just a little too far away and had a few too many expenses to make it all the way to Denton for the game this week. Nevertheless, I'll be watching on ESPN3, and me and my friend are wearing UNT shirts to our Warhammer match earlier Saturday!

Sat through the 77-20 massacre at Rice. Saw the Miracle in the Desert in person (nearly being threatened with arrest if we didn't vacate an empty section), been to all 4 NOB and the Hod bowls, season ticket holders for close to 10 years now, missed only 3 home games since 1997, now live 6 hours away and still making the game this week and next.

I guess you could say I'm pretty hardcore, or maybe i need an intervention.

you know what...nah...imma let this slide.

I wear a UNT hat every where I go. Comedy clubs, dinners, movies, etc. I have several I use on special occasions or when required to look a little more "upscale". That's how hardcore I am.

I'm the fan that screams when we are on defense on third or fourth down until he has to sit down to prevent having a stroke or we cause them to turn the ball over. Whichever comes last.

I have so many UNT shirts I lost count...

Anyways.... Here is my quick checklist for true UNT fandom

  • Hate Longhorn fans and despise SMU fans
  • you give a person a dirty look when they joke about our football team
  • Can't stand, "UNT student/ alumni other college wearing T-shirt fans".
  • Drinks at EastSide Draft house or eats a Rudy's
  • Wears UNT stuff on vacations (especially different states/countries)
  • Hates UTSA fans, no ifs. ands, or buts, those dirty yard birds will lead to a curse word
  • Will have multiple shades of green apparel in their closet from the years of fandom
  • knows about UNT90 and cougarking
  • Listens to the mean green podcasts
  • Hates SMU (I have to make sure I didn't miss that one)
  • Knows the infamous, (The Stand) play
  • can accept the fact that our past is littered with losing and let downs, as well as some impressive wins. But at the end of the day, our mean green is the only team we truly love. There is also a bright future for mean green football!

Can check all of those off and go one better -- my seats are right next to UNT90's and I generally make it mission to steal at least one of his beers.

don't forget the two officers, the security staff, and the NMSU Athletic Dept rep standing at the top of the stairs watching us.
