Texas State announced a home and home with Wyoming in 2017 and 2019.  Amazing their AD has no problems with scheduling.

Realistically, this is the type of opponent that probably wouldn't bring more fans to Apogee than Army, but light years more than the FCS schools we have scheduled. When the Army series ends, I bet the MWC team we get to play a series with will be Air Force, but the earliest that can be scheduled is 2022, I believe, since Army runs for 6 games. And since 2022 is when we play SMU at home, the earliest we have a non-FCS open date available is 2023.

One must realize that dates are important as well...not just opponents.  Sigh...this RV can't schedule stuff is getting to be a beat down.  Is what it is, folks.  All the carping here is not going to change one thing...nothing.  Want to help make changes?  We all know how that is actually done in athletic programs across the nation.  And, how it isn't done is constantly whining and carping on some fan message board.

But, if doing so makes one feel better or endears them within the "all is wrong ... nothing is good at UNT" crowd, and that's what they want, then so be it. Carp on!

We should of had a home and home with TX St .(I know I might get corrected if I say this) But a UNT and TX State mini series might be a better benefit then a Wyoming home and home.

I think Mac prefers the easier 'W' a FCS opponent provides.

No doubt FCS Davids fell a Goliath every now and then, which is why I said easier and not easy!

I get it, if a team has a better shot at 6-6 like us this season. The benefit of having a FCS win is awesome, I just see the fan attendance benefits of TX State honestly.

All for playing any and all FBS Texas schools, more so than Portland State, or newly FCS schools used to boost egos and win totals, but god forbid we play these schools and lose.

"revisited" implies people stopped talking about it.

If I'm right, scheduling will become a bigger issue as this season progresses. People will talk about it more, not less.

Hope im wrong and we go 114-0 this year.
