If you or anyone you know was a part of the UNT Moot Court team at any time since its inception, PLEASE pass this on.  We're having a reunion for EVERYONE who has been a part of this AWESOME award-winning program.  And of course, since I was the most excited, it's apparently now my job to get the word out, haha!  I'm going to copy the communiques from Dr. Kimi King below, but here are the basic details (and to get a head-count beyond the link for volunteers, you can RSVP on the Facebook page here so that we know how many to expect regardless of if they help at the tournament: https://www.facebook.com/events/1451992565108026/)

Friday 10/9 - Moot Court Invitational at UNT Law in Dallas - all MC alumni are invited to judge lower rounds starting at 2 p.m.  After judging, we will meet up with the team (location TBD) for dinner.  Anyone who volunteers to help as a judge, baliff, etc. will receive one free ticket to the UNT Homecoming game as a thank you!  Sign up here:

Saturday 10/10 - After the Homecoming Parade, we will be tailgating at the Arts and Sciences tent and will then make our way to the game against Portland State together.

Here are the messages from Kimi with a little extra info for those who wish to see it:

Message 1:

we are looking at having folks judge the unt-law school (in dallas) tournament on fri. oct. 9. (that starts at 2 with judge briefing).

anyone around that night will go out to dinner with the team. then sat. is homecoming, so folks would go to that (hopefully i'll be in dallas watching final rounds with the team & then come back up for the game!).

regardless whether its 5 or 10 when game is over, we'd get people together

(i can get tickets in a block so folks can sit together at the game).

Message 2:

It’s been way too long! Hope this finds you doing well having had a wonderful summer doing things that make you happy. So much has been going on around here, it seems like the years fly by. UNT is celebrating its 125th anniversary & we have some great things in the works.

I have a favor to ask (surprise!)

Oct. 9-10, 2015-UNT Law in Dallas is hosting the Texas Undergraduate Moot Court Invitational. We need 125 judges for a 52 team tournament & UNT Law is bidding to get nationals here in a couple years (that will be 80 teams yikes!)!

You can volunteer here:

Saturday is Homecoming at UNT & so we are hosting a great big old reunion party for alums at the College of Arts & Sciences tent! So come judge at UNT Law on Friday & hang out at the game Saturday!!

Could you please spread the word & tell your colleagues. If you have the ability to send out emails through professional organizations, that would be awesome!  If you are in contact with alums, please get them back! This is going to be a blast!

Hope we get to see you & find out where life has taken you. We must catch up!

Best,

K
