"You're always going to see a story of a corrupt cop or somebody who did something they shouldn't have but there's so many good cops out here and that kind of goes unspoken sometimes," said Miskossky. UH OH. Sounds like Miskossky needs one of those sternly-worded letters. No room for this kind of doubt planning right now.

And it's the good cops who Commissioner Ramsey says deserve more attention. Agree, but you can make this argument in any professions. The idea that the good teachers not blowing 3 students under the bleachers should be on CBS more is a noble thought, too.

"They should hold their head high, they should be proud of what they do, because what they do makes a difference, it makes a huge difference," said Ramsey. They really should. Could you imagine working in a field where gross incompetence, negligence or the actions of a small few jeopardize the reputation of many who do not engage or condone these behaviors?

When it comes to recruiting, Ramsey says his greatest challenge is attracting African-American and Hispanic officers. According to the Department of Justice, the national percentage of black police officers has been stagnant at 12 percent since 2007. Wait - this goes back way deep. This predates O'Bummer...unless this means, the Kenyan time machine isn't waiting for the last shipment of parts at all. THAT SLY FOX. /watches photo of Emmitt in uniform fade away Back to the Future style.

the planned destruction of municipal and state police departments is well under way.

nope, just smart enough to know that a centralized power is a main cog of Marxism.

We have a President that sends representatives to meet with the family of a criminal who attempt to take a gun away from and kill a police officer, yet simply issues cheap paper statements after open season has been declared on law enforcement.

And issues them with a wink and a nod to frequent White House visitor and noted racist, liar, and grief hustler Al Sharpton, the black lives matter racists, and every black person that has perceived a slight and a mental problem.

He knows what he's doing, and it's dispicable.

yes, that is what Al Sharoton is, as defined by his actions.

Notice you just highlight "every black person" and leave off THAT HAS A MENTAL PROBLEM AND PERCEIVES A SLIGHT.

But that's just sweet little liberal you doing what you do, changing a narrative.

it's still in it's nascency, so it ought to be easier to keep up...but here is this thread's chronology laid out simply for you.

1. UNT90 posts link referencing decreased enrollment, then makes the correlation that this indicates a "planned destruction" of local policing.
2. MeanGreenTexan, highlighting the portion "planned destruction" responds incredulously to UNT90s insinuation of conspiracy
3. CBL, posts link to the Onion, a satirical publication, that is also meant to convey a sense of incredulous-ness to the idea of conspiracy
4. Quoner opts to break down actual quotes and opinions from UNT90s article...adding both humor and insight, as is his calling
5. Coffee and TV reminds us of the importance of protecting our oceans and their most beloved species

now...here's where things get fun...
6. UNT90 goes the route we all assumed he was going and makes the leap from criticism of policing practices to centralization of power, re:Marxism. he continues by expressing his displeasure with our president's take on the actions of Ferguson. he then makes, even for him, an odd left (ha) turn and adds Al Sharpton to the conversation, and then not once, not twice but thrice makes reference to race (apparently along with mental illness and only "perceived" injustice) as an issue of his argument...to the point where one might take away an "us against them" mentality to his sentiment
7. CBL, amused, posts a scene from a wonderful and criminally underrated movie that presents a similar argument...but made by a little person. so better.
8. UNT90 accuses CBL of bringing race into the conversation
9. CBL points out how UNT90 already did so. three times
10. ColoradoEagle posts a picture of Natalie Wood
11. UNT90 misses the point.

small minded doesn't understand that class and race is ALWAYS the tool of the Marxist.

Its about power and fundamentally changing this country, including the form of government, to get it.

We got about 20 years left... I hope.

actually...small-minded would be likening discussion of class and race as ALWAYS being Marxist.

what fundamentals, specifically, have changed?

I still maintain my $1000 donation wager. the alumni association will still need contributions...tyrannical socialist dictator or not.

Just curious.  What is that wager?

well...we'd certainly have to hammer out the specifics, because as you know with UNT90, one tends to deal in a lot of vagaries...but the long and short of it is that if with X-number of years (20 according to this thread) if the united states falls under the rule of a socialist, tyrannical dictator (like, an actual one...I know there are some who will say I've already lost) then I will make a $1000 (or the equivalent in whatever currency our new leftist zealot, though benevolent, over-load has put in the dollars stead) contribution to the Mean Green Club, or Alumni Association...whatever...in UNT90s name (real or screen...his choice)

if on the other hand, that doesn't happen...and we still have democratically elected officials (terrible as they may be) performing their duties under the mechanisms set forth by our forefathers in the constitution (edited in the appropriate manner how it may be), then he has to make a $1000 contribution in my name.

he balked. man can't even stand by his convictions.

why would I take a bet that I have no chance of ever winning?

You see, when you are in an internment camp and all your assets have been taken, how the hell are you going to pay me what you owe me?

Although there is the good possibility that you could be an underling of the dictator of America. But then you would just have me executed for crimes against the state...

I was sure this thread would be about the release of the first autonomous killing machines into our oceans:

IEEE: Poison-Injecting Robot Submarine Assassinates

Bring on the autonomous stabby poison-injecting robot submarines, please.

When these outbreaks happen, swift and comprehensive eradication becomes a priority... but human divers can only manage to kill about 120 (targets) per hour with poison.

At Queensland University of Technology in Australia, a group of researchers led by Matthew Dunbabin and Peter Corke spent the last decade working on COTSBot,* which has been specifically designed to seek out and murder ... as mercilessly and efficiently as possible.

Because I posted a Weird Al video? How did that leap in logic occur? Did you have a communications class in your core curriculum? You certainly didn't have debate.

Well, I did take him for some cash on our bet regarding the number of wins for Mean Green basketball a couple of years ago.  So, if you can pin him down, and if he loses, he will definitely pay up.  So, there is that.
