I'm really high on Nate Brooks. I think he was a steal. He's very skinny but he packs a punch and is very fluid for a 6' corner. He doesn't rank high on my offer list rating (just us, La Tech, and SFA) but I love his game.

You nailed it. Love the hips movement on that kid. He is a natural CB. Fundamentals are solid too. It's gonna be fun to watch him fill out his frame. I also like that he played the QB position in high school like McClain did. I think it helps young DBs understand what a QB is thinking or taught to read.

I see him playing mainly on special teams this year and garbage time. I know the staff is also high on Andrew Jones too. 

Its good to see these young DBs stepping up.

With Grindle not making it in I think he has a shot. If I had to put money down right now and predict our 2016 starting corners I'd say Brooks starting opposite Chad Davis.

With no Grindle plus Buyers and Marshall being seniors (I think Davis starts over Marshall this year), we'll see the coaches grooming someone to take over as that far-side/field corner. Should be interesting to watch between Brooks, Preston, Andrew Jones, and potentially Ced Fernandes in that role.

I would guess suspension. Half game or something like that. The arrest is bad, but the charge doesn't seem to be too bad. The other thing that hurts him is that it happened while he was out after curfew.

At first I was thinking it was just an unpaid ticket for Jaywalking that led to his arrest due to a warrant but then I noticed the time of the indecent. No arrest is a good arrest but seeing that he was just booked for walking on a roadway and not for theft, drunk and disorderly, or something worse.

Yes, but I'll admit I haven't watched Preston's seniors highlights in a while. His junior highlights really weren't very good, but I do remember him making an impressive leap his senior year, and local writers noting such as well. Not many players in this class do I like better than Brooks.

I don't know that you'll see much pressing from that side just because of how much ground they have to cover over there.
