Mean Green Club event

Does everybody know about this ?  The annual Mean Green Appreciation event is August 27 from 6-8 at Apogee.  This is another reason, although not THE reason, to join the Mean Green Club.  Food (I can't spell or'derves) and a cash bar.  For those of you that haven't supported North Texas Athletics yet, now is a great time and reason to do so.

These are always great events for supporters of the program. I always find it a great people watching event. Mainly because, even though this is supposed to be a gathering of the "faithful" for the football program, you could never tell it by how everyone is dressed. It could just as easily be a gathering of the Lions Club......or more appropriately for NT....the IOOF.

Try to be a little more original next time. It's more basic than that........not enough Green at a Mean Green event.

Got it.  I legitimately wasn't sure if you thought they weren't dressed up enough or something (though using the term "pageantry" was obviously chosen for you).  I've been to each of these (but won't be there this time thanks to the Alumni Association Collin County Steering Committee meeting being the same night), always in my Mean Green attire.  I just didn't recall being surprised at a lack of green or North Texas flair.  I've never been to a Lion's Club meeting or an IOOF meeting, so I'm not sure how they normally dress.

SilverEagle has a valid point, but there can be any number of reasons including coming directly from work.  For me, I am just happy to see as many folks show up as do.  All to often today we see folks on this site and another unnamed one proudly proclaiming that they no longer support the Mean Green for whatever reason they can come up with that makes them feel good.

Yes, best to wear green, but just show up...heck, show up in your boxers if you want, just show up.  See you there.
