Anyone else notice that #47 Terrence Johnson (Tillman's Twin) was working with the DLine today? He actually beat a couple guys on the OL too! at 6'4" 257, he is already one of our biggest defensive ends... only Flusche and Dilonga are bigger.

Need to stress how awesome the Periscope app is.  For those of you with Twitter already... it only takes 3 min to download and synch (for free).  Any time Poppi or the others decide to live stream through Periscope it alerts your phone when they are on and shooting.

Very valuable tool and super simple to use.

Combs' speed was impressive, as was Roberts'.  Miles was having trouble with both of them.  Don't know if that's concerning for Miles or exciting for Combs/Roberts.

Dilonga's length was causing problems for everyone he matched against, including Banogu ...   and did anyone else see Micah Thompson pretty much shut-down whoever was coming at him?  I'm surprised/impressed by that.

DeMikal Harrison definitely looks the part, but he was having a tough time getting around anyone.

Orr must get better.

Orr somehow managed to lose 10 pounds this summer... he must have been sick or something over the summer, He isn't the fastest or strongest guy but you could tell he was missing his usual explosiveness.

I kept looking for Sir Calvin #48 and didn't see him once. Did I miss him?

God, #7 Combs looks FAST... really think he will make a difference on the edge.

Every time that Combs took a turn I could tell that the coach was very impressed. He tried not to sound too enthusiastic, but but the tone of his voice gave him away.

This is interesting. This spring I noticed him making some good plays at TE and thought that he really made that position pretty deep. Now they are trying him at the DL. Hmm, are they already seeing some impressive stuff from Dillman at TE? Impressive enough to move #47 to the DL?

well, we know that Dillman is committed to the TE position... He has put on some 25+ pounds over the last year and looks the part already.

At the press conf, Mac said Wallace had a fever and might not be able to go.

Dont forget they gotta make room for Chumley to move to TE too lol

Bold prediction:
Dillman will not redshirt and by the time the year is over, he'll have leapfrogged Loving & hopefully we'll be running some 2 TE sets with Smith & Dillman because we can't keep either off the field.

Like I said months ago, if Dillman is as fast as he looked in one of his HS videos then we ought to put in the old Dallas Cowboy TE-around play.

WOW... That is BOLD! I'm not going to go that far because I actually think Loving is the best of the TEs as a pass catcher... he is also Faster and a better blocker than Smith, but he doesn't have the trust of the coaches mainly because he had to redshirt when he first got here from Juco. I think we will lots of 2 TE sets but that will be because having Smith and Loving together will be the best TE tandem in the conference if Canales lets that happen. I guess that's my Bold Prediction.

Loving is a great mention... guy has big time size and ability.  With everyone focusing on Smith he could have a big year.

Too bad we didnt get to see the reps of Combs vs Banogu like KP had said near the end of the video. That wouldve been a better judgement of how good he is.

Word I heard - Combs was unblock-able.

Ready for this.

3 TE set no WR on the field.  Then flex/motion Smith out just to see how the defense reacts.  If a LB goes out then throw him the ball if corner goes out motion him back into the formation and POUND THAT ROCK!!

Wait, don't we already run this in all running situations?

Oh wait no you're forgetting the fullback. ;-)

Most of the D line looked pretty good in these drills. Combs was unstoppable. DEs kind of feasted on the OTs. Kind of worrisome. Rice was outstanding at OG.

Tillman looked good, as did TJ.  I noticed that Julius Combes out of Washington DC was in there as well and looked good. Big guy at 313. Freshmen looked good.
