I find it very telling that he chalked up DT's accomplishments to his supporting cast. I guess that provides his excuse for when his adopted son falls flat on his face. DW made a TON of freshman mistakes and turnovers last year but that is because he WAS a freshman even if he was a redshirt. He was able to advance the ball better than AM and JG with the same supporting cast. Remember, he was written off with a whopping 3 career starts. Maybe he wasn't as committed as Mac would've like but maybe he saw McNulty the same way Vizza saw Riley. The coach's son who you will always sit behind on the depth chart.

It's hard for me to understand why some folks were so high on Dajon, but are so low on McNulty.   Both were not very good last year, and Dajon only proved he could move the ball in garbage time and VS Nicholls.   Heck, Greer looked like Peyton Manning VS SMU, but no one is touting how well he can move the ball... because he was exposed against real competition.   McNulty, who actually looked somewhat decent UTSA at the end of the year, was the best QB on the roster last year, as sad as that is...

We have to hope Smith takes the bull by the horns in the next few weeks.  Otherwise, we have to hope for improvement from McNulty a-la Thompson between 2012 & 2013.

The running backs advanced the ball vs SMU.

I saw the spring game and DW moved the ball with the 2s against the 1s better than AM moved the 1s against the 2s. DW is probably working at a hourly job now trying to support his child while myself and some others will wonder what could've been. If you don't believe that our head coach has been more forgiving with AM than any other quarterback in the coach's tenure, you haven't been paying attention.

That game is a testament to his season. Highly inconsistent with moments of greatness. When he was on, he was on. When he wasn't, he missed on screens when the receiver wasn't moving. A tale of two QBs.
