And speaking of UNT, the Mean Green weren’t mentioned in ESPN’s early preview. The Mean Green enter the 2015-16 season looking for their first winning campaign under Benford in his fourth season.

UNT has some key players back, including Jeremy Combs and Maurice Anifiok and add Texas A&M transfer point guard J-Mychal Reese. The Mean Green have some talented players to work with, but will be a dark horse in the league race after finishing 14-17 last season.

Should NEVER be in a must win season in year 4 after inheriting the tradition and winning that he did...

Even with our AD, I'll be shocked if he gets year 5 unless he produces a winning season accompanied by some noise in the conference tourney. If he does get year 5 without any of that, I think it'll be time to organize an official protest.

My fear is that we have a slightly winning season, 2-3 games over .500, we win one or two games in the CUSA tournament, and RV annoints Benford with a new contract extension.  Gosh that would suck!

That is very possible. I truly believe he'd have gotten an extension last year if he could've finished .500 or better, but even that small hurdle proved to be way higher than it should've been.
