BOCA RATON, Fla. – Conference USA media day, the unofficial beginning of the league’s new football season, will start Wednesday morning at the Boca Raton Hotel and Resort in South Florida.

Here are 10 questions to ponder about the league with the start of the 2015 season a little more than one month away.

Who will win MTSU’s quarterback battle?

It’s the most pressing question facing the Blue Raiders with fall camp set to start Aug. 6, and all indications through spring practice and summer workouts are that a decision is still a ways off.

Incumbent starter Austin Grammer was great the first half of 2014 before faltering down the stretch, while redshirt freshman Brent Stockstill has continued to press his junior counterpart each step of the way.

Given that both players are similar, it’s likely MTSU’s season actually may not hinge on the decision one way or the other, but it’s hard to envision both playing all year long.

Will WKU live up to the hype?

Conference USA media members, college football experts and preseason magazines across the country have pegged Western Kentucky as the team to beat in C-USA in 2015.

The Hilltoppers return 16 starters from a team that won its final five games of 2014, including the Football Bowl Subdivision’s leading passer in quarterback Brandon Doughty.

Their offense will be good, but will the Tops’ subpar defense make the necessary improvements in order for WKU to unseat Marshall and claim the East Division?

Can Louisiana Tech repeat in the West?
