Does anyone else feel like we may be belaboring or lamenting the past season and disappointment?  One of the rules of engagement in college football is that every team gets a clean slate and starts fresh.  I would really like to see some more hopeful and positive thoughts about the upcoming Mean Green season.

I thought it would be nice to go over things we as fans can go over every day to keep us motivated about the upcoming season:

1).  Trevor Moore is a great kicker and will win some games.

2).  We have a good record at home under Mac

3).  With all of the jucos and transfers we added in the off season at least a couple will pan out

4).  Kettle Korn

5).  The first two weeks of the season we will be undefeated!

6).  DaMarcus

I know there are more.  Feel free to be creative.  GMG

There are some good teams in CUSA, but no one has overwhelmingly superior talent to anyone else within the conference.  If some of our skill position players perform the way I believe they can, we will have a shot at winning the division.  We might not have the best shot of the bunch, but it's well within the realm of possibility.  A few plays across our whole season could make the difference between 4-8 and 7-5, so we don't exactly need a Herculean effort from any one guy or McCarney to coach his way into a Grey Goose endorsement just to have a winning year.

10. We have Dillman, a Nebraska recruit playing on our team.

11. Our QB options will be better in 2015 then in 2014

12. Tailgate season starts, need I say more?

Oh and Harry, I think Trevor Moore will be a deciding factor in at least one of our games this season. A three pointer to win it situation, I'm calling it now.

13. This is the last year that Andrew McNulty will be the standard of measure for Mean Green quarterbacks.

10. We have Dillman, a Nebraska recruit, Goree, a Colorado recruit, Chumley, a Missouri/Oregon St recruit, Garner, a Purdue recruit, and Wallace, an Oregon/Arizona/Arkansas/Auburn/Baylor/Georgia/Kansas St/Miami/Nebraska/Notre Dame/Ohio St/Oklahoma/Oklahoma St/Stanford/TCU/Texas/Texas A&M/Texas Tech/UCLA/USC recruit playing on our team.

Fixed it for ya.

We go 0-3 against them again this year..at home..I'm not sure what I'll do.

BOOOO this comment. Negativity is like tooth decay, you let it linger for too long, it will spread.

Cheer up Ben, take a deep breath and just wait until we start losing to be depressed. Until then, just think Happy thoughts.

16.  Continued indoctrination of my kiddos at "Scrappy's Castle".

17.  Green Brigade playing the fight song & Alma Mater while thousands of like-minded Mean Green fans sing along.

18.  Occasionally bumping into this living legend:

Harry, Kettle Corn is always a great place to start whilst counting your Mean Green new season blessings. Tailgating and visiting with all the great tailgaters is great....even in the early Sept heat!

I always look forward to seeing how the team comes together and how new players fit into the system. A new year always starts with great expectations. You know, kind of like that line from our fight song....."victory's in store, what er the score, our team will ever fight,..... FIGHT, FIGHT FIGHT.

I'm even hopeful every year that the GB finally sees the light and decides to show up as a real  Big-10-like college football band.
