Akron to drop down?

That's just a professor who's angry about budget cuts. No actual talk in that article from the university about it moving to FCS.

It may only be talk by the faculty, but a few days ago the university cut their baseball program. So, the idea about moving their football team down could gain traction.

Akron isn't the only one who needs to drop down to FCS. Most of the MAC, most of the Sun Belt at least half of CUSA and the bottom of the MWC should all be in FCS too.

yep Houstons recent success is something to be REAL proud of. You're conference is a doozy.

Nobody in Texas cares about u. of  houston athletics.

Considering that we have far more support than UNT and actually play our games on ESPN, if nobody in Texas cares about us then by using your logic, nobody in the galaxy cares about UNT.

You damn right. We sold out every game in 2010 despite going 5-7, we went 13-1 in 2011, got as high as #4 in some polls and hosted college gameday then went on to thrash Penn State in a January bowl game, in 2012 despite having a bad season with our worst team in over a decade, we dropped 44 points on UNT. In 2013 we made another January bowl game with a true freshman qb and in 2014 we made yet another January bowl game and defeated Pitt in a historic comeback lead by our current qb who not only had zero reps as a qb in the spring and summer but also started the first five games as a receiver.

Our conference is filled with teams UNT fans are desperately wanting to schedule and arent a bunch of directional schools. Far superior to the Sun Belt 2.0

Many people on this board have been following UNT for decades and haven't even seen HALF of the success we have had in the last 5 years.

You know what else is funny. You guys don't like what I say, but nobody ever says that I'm wrong. We all know that a lot of G5 teams have no business in FBS and I have the guts to say it.

yeah, those dang lower schools who actually have to work to win and can't throw money away at new hire after new hire (Houston) seems like basketball has it right with the tournament... Those little schools are just TERRIBLE AND DONT BELONG GET EM OUT oh.. No wait they year in year out knock your beloved "P5" teams on their ass and send them packing.

I watched a game or two of yours last year seems like they were on espn3 or U.. Just like ours. And y'all must have the same ticket counters as SMU cuz that was NOT sold out. See at UNT we don't lie about attendance, it's just a bad look. Have a great day, and Hermann gunna get y'all in some sort of violations before he leaves book it. He learned from the best. Run back to your smog infested, humid city.

then go strut your Houston bull crap somewhere else. So you know what? you're wrong... UH lost to a CUSA team last year that you have probably considered inferior and a future FCS. And I didn't see you mention that. The only thing most of us pay attention too, outside of Houston, is Rice. And that's because they are in our conference. Plus, I hear Rice has a better university anyways. And that is saying something for your crime ridden university scum city area. All of the stuff you had to tell us, was the first I've really heard about UH. I'll continue to follow UNT, and the rest of us too. Because we don't care and never will about your football team. So get out and find yourself a SMU board to crap on you troll.

Neither of you made an intelligent rebuttal nor disproved anything I said. Yes, we lost to UTSA but we fired our coach, went to a January bowl game and defeated a P5 school.

You guys on the other hand, lost to UTSA, didn't go to a bowl game AND still have the same coach.

Utsa physically dominated UH last year. I watched that entire game. Utsa looked like they were destined to be really good, but then that FCS ridden schedule of CUSA caught up with them and they finished as a middle of the pack CUSA team.

There's another CUSA team not but 6 hours from UH that would also skulldrag UH in La Tech. We are not far behind. Be threatened by us and I say that in all seriousness. CUSA will be the bellcow G5 conference in the next 4 or 5 years. Wait and see.

you are wrong, and an idiot of epic proportions.

Clear enough?

Your conference has less talent than the MWC, which is currently the premier G5 conference, and may have a razor thin edge over CUSA, which doesn't consist of only UNT, you moron.

I normally ignore your posts because they are so uninformed that it has to be trolling, but in this post you exhibited a special kind of stupid that I think you actually believe.

Which isnt surprising, being that you attended the University of High School.

You say that with no knowledge of how cappy that is for schools. Not to mention many of the schools that you would relagate to D1aa have really long sports history. You are also forgetting every sport other than football. There's a big picture out there that you don't see.

Mom, meatloaf...

Sadly, this troll must not have friends in true life because he constantly hangs out here seeking acceptance.

And apparently this this isn't the only non-Houston message board he hangs around.

He he really needs to get out more...

Ya know..... you wouldn't have to beat off into your Pokemon sock if you would stop trolling other people's boards and get out a bit and meet some people.
