Make your case...

How early do you set up?

What do you set up? Tents? TVs? Couches?

What do you cook?

How big is your group?

What kind of Mean Green paraphernalia do you display? Flags? Vehicles? Pits?

Pics?

Talk your trash here, and maybe Harry (cause everyone trusts him) can crown a champ after the Rice game, when an actual visual of your set up can be authenticated. I'll slap together a really ugly trophy for the winner. A trophy no self respecting group could take pride in displaying.

I set up at about 7pm...the day before the first home game.  Have been doing so for about a decade now (in rain, freezing temperatures, heat).

We have about 10 in our group.

We have tents, televisions and grills

We cook pretty simple stuff...racks of ribs, breakfast tacos, steaks, fajitas, chicken, sliders

contest over!

You are a better man then me. My group usually forgoes tailgating if the weather is extremely poor.

I'm partial to this guy's tailgate:

But there are many good ones as well...a good idea would be to have an open house.   check out the gallery for more pics:

Edit,  We will have 14 tents this year, new cookers, and a new t.v.  I bought a slingbox so I can stream direct t.v. with a hotspot.  It works pretty well.

We expect between 150 to 200 each game.  Who cares who is the best?  Just need to keep it rolling.

Amen -- I think our tailgating scene is one of the best...and I thought it was pretty good already over at Fouts..

just need to keep developing and building it.

San Antonio has a pretty good scene too outside the dome.  Invited us in for beers after our loss last year.  Bitter but cold beer oh so good!

not retiring.  the bank had one made, and of course, Austin B. has built a larger super wok out of a tank head for breakfast tacos, fajitas etc.

It is going to be off the chain.

Access Bank, Northstar, and First United Bank are in the midst of an arms race for the biggest baddest smoking rig.  Rumor has it that Access spent 50 to 60k on the new rig they built.

Good God, man! I think we were a wee bit more economically efficient in our design!

As a frequent tailgate crasher I'll be happy to take part in the judging.

The tailgate scene is a major bright spot and I've always managed to have a good time along with anyone I've dragged along with me.

I'd like to think I have one of the better tailgate menus. I've cooked everything from Leg of Lamb gyros, vareity of sliders, pork tenderloin kbobs, fajitas, all different kinds of sides, the list goes on.

A large group of us tailgate with the Buyers family and we have a "flying worm" flag.

Note: how did my cursor get in here?  Oh well...reply post follows:

Yep, have visited your tailgate...agree....you have a nice thing going.  And, for us "older timers", who were here long before tailgating at UNT was even allowed, seeing how tailgating has increased and developed at UNT in really such a short time is pure happiness.  I wonder the tailgate scene before games in awe of how it has developed because I remember what it was like before RV came and lobbied to allow tailgating for the Mean Green Nation.  If for no other reason, I will always be greatful for that change.  One can only imagine what it will be like 5-10 years from now!  Well done Mean Green Nation.
