One question-was UNT your second choice or were you forced to go there against your will? Rumor has it UNT is everyones second choice. I came to UNT to get away from El Paso and I am happy with that decision and i moved back to Denton recently.

we now have two confirmation that UNT was a first choice. Anyone else want to admit to it? Also side note what artist do you secretly listen to when no one is around..... it is the dead season now.

All depends on where you from and what you want a degree in. (UNT was my first choice as well)

If you're @golfingomez, there's no outstanding degree programs to make you stay and go to any of the spare UT campuses in the Valley.

Me? There were only two public universities in Texas that offered my degree, UT or UNT. My choice was to take a wild chance and go somewhere new and uncharted somewhere nobody I knew was going to school, or go 2 hours away from mom and dad and be around all the same buttholes I knew in high school who I'd happily never see again.

I didn't want to be one of those people who basically just went to 13th, 14th, 15th, 16h grade and hung out with the same people from high school and did the same shit they did in high school.

Thank you Billy I certainly don't have the time to do that kind of research. We lost out on almost every kid we offered from Louisiana who Tulane also offered but that was a few classes ago I suppose it's not relevant in 2015. I do remember us losing out on a DE from Pilot Point to La Tech as well as a 3* WR from FW but I'm not sure what class that was.
Recruiting will only get tougher with the new head coaches in place at Tulsa & SMU we need to make it to a bowl game this season and win more battles than in years past.

agreed but let's be serious it's not happening not next year this is mostly the same team that lost 11 games and almost lost to a even worse UTSA team minus some seniors including Carlos Harris though he got stone hands this year . Good times will return to the meangreen but it won't happen in his first season.

I'll admit to it, UNT was my first choice. I had been partying with my brother-in-law's (and later my) fraternity when I was a senior in high school, had a blast, and had a great time in my four years.

UNT was my first choice. However ... if I had been a top player with offers from top colleges I would gone somewhere else since UNT was D2 at the time.

will get flamed but was not my first choice, transferred in as a SR and never looked back, finished BA and MPA at UNT

Was at Sam Houston St for 2 yrs, and at 2 JUCO's before that.

UNT was my 3rd choice after Fannin County School for the Criminally Insane and The Pyongyang Institute of Technology and Hair Design(long live our supreme leaders Kim Jong-Un and Paul Mitchell) .

I think you mean 1AA/FCS. I am pretty sure that except for the 1AA years NT has always been in the top division of NCAA athletics. For example in the 1950s when the split was University/College, we where in the higher division.

Good question....As a Booster (MGC Member) i can not contact potential recruits

He's 18 so hes playing video games and chasing skirts, so his Top 4 is not too big of a priority for him

Thats what his tweet was about above @GMG24 I am not sure who was recruiting him out of UCLA but A&M shows they have offered and Noel Mazzone is the one recruiting him so I am willing to bet Mazzone was the reason for him wanting UCLA....That or all the hot SO CO ass running around

Meh we have a damn all womens university in our town. Not to mention I have friends that go to all the universities around dfw and they all say UNT has the hottest chicks! Maybe we should use that more in recruiting pitches haha!
