Vito had an article last night talking about expecting us to wait until the end of the cycle to get most of our top signees. I said the same thing earlier yesterday, but I don't think that's necessarily a good thing. I think it's a sign of our inability to win many head-to-head recruiting battles.

Louisiana Lafayette isn't waiting until the end to see who is falling through the cracks. A guy like this Austin Davis kid would be a class headliner for us, with multiple P5 offers. The guys Vito mentioned as being some top signees we got late were Kevin Dillman and D'Aundrey Bradley. No one else was actively offering and recruiting Dillman, and Bradley was a kid from Cedar Hill who we only had to beat out New Mexico State and New Mexico for.

We're going to have to win more recruiting battles against better quality programs if we're going to have more success in this conference. Regardless of when those signees commit.
