North Texas high school football players are standing up for a teammate by walking away from their team.

Last week, nine players at Mineral Wells High School -- which is 50 miles west of Fort Worth -- turned in their equipment and left the football program to protest head coach Gerald Perry's decision to name his son Tristan as the team's starting quarterback and move Trent Guinn, who had competed for the starting QB job, to a backup wide receiver position.
