My mom scored for Carlos on Saturday and she said he was the nicest guy in the group.  She also said he had a pretty good size crowd following for most of the round and you could tell that they were following the group to watch him (mostly Hispanics or people wearing UNT gear).  I watched him play a few holes one Sunday and his swing looked really good, but he just couldn't buy a putt out there.

He is -1 for the day, even overall tied for 70ieth after 13 holes. That is smack on the cutline, but I feel like the cutline will move to squeeze out everyone who finishes even, so he needs to find another birdy somewhere.

By the way, how often does it happen, that a PGA tour event plays a round on course where par is 69?

Par is 70 at TPC Las Colinas. It looks like Carlos will make the cut. Not sure how it works when enough players still have to finish round two that could theoretically move the cut line to -2.

This week carlos missed the cut by a stroke.

Cazaubon on the other hand is leading the dominican republic open by 3 shots after the 3rd round. If he could win it, not only would he pocket 31k (chump change to Carlos by now), but also virtually guarantee promotion to the web.com tour next season.
