On Monday, Douglas Tucker, a 6-foot-4 1/2, 295-pound two-way lineman from Dallas (Tex) Parish Episcopal picked up his fourth offer.

New Mexico jumped in the game joining North Texas, Texas State and Tulane.

"Extraordinarily blessed," Tucker exclaimed! "(I am ) motivated to show I'm not just anybody else."

"UNT was the first school to offer and I was just staring. It was crazy. I was just amazed. It was such a blessing. I did not know it was going to happen like that."

A plethora of colleges have come through to check out 'Big Tuck' and more will be coming this week as Parish takes to the field until the 22nd running through some spring drills (4:30-6:30pm).

Big Tuck...your first offer is your best offer...Go Mean Green (which takes on a double meaning here).

Tucker is a great young man, had the privilege to coach him. Hope he stays true to what I taught him. If UNT comes knocking, just say "Go Mean Green" cuz the other offers don't matter :)

      It took way too long, he was paid way too much money. Should have never been given a 2 year guaranteed contract. Why does UNT keep spending so much money on horrible hires? Eric Morris failed miserably in his first big hire as a FBS head coach. Period. Now Mosley needs to start being concerned. His first big hire is turning out to be a bust as well. His only saving grace is basketball but honestly Ross was already set up as a easy layup hire for him so his Morris hire is much more indicative of his abilities to identify and hire good coaches.

      Our DC also needs to be able to recruit. Apparently, the last regime only recruited DBs and STILL couldn’t run the 3-3-5.

      Absolutely agree. Morris made a terrible decision in the last hire, paying him WAY more than he deserved. Mosley should require full sign off on all candidates and he will.

      Yeah, you’re right. We should just accept and settle for mediocre teams and embarrassing coaching performances on a national stage. That shows our undying loyalty for the program and we should just shut up and stay out of it. NT being “our” team doesn’t mean we can’t voice our displeasure over the absolutely disgusting performance. UTSA does not have near the resources we have and yet they beat us because we have poor leaders who make tons of money and provide terrible results both on and off the field. And I could give two shits about getting to another crappy bowl game against a crappy opponent. That’s what they hope this Caponi firing will do, take our eyes off the embarrassment in San Antonio and 5 straight game losing streak. Get ready for it. The well staffed propaganda machine will be demanding we recognize and appreciate what an amazing accomplishment another six win bowl team is.
