I am watching very closely to see if someone who gives a damn about North Texas, is a grad and eats and sleeps Mean Green can be successful. If she is given proper support from the university, the sky may be the limit.

They may never catch SFA , they just hired the coach from WT , who won 64 and lost 4 in his two years there.

With the exception of negative statistics or any diseases abbreviated SFA, the words "we may never catch SFA" should never be uttered. Have higher standards than that.

Yes, she can just as Aston, Stephenson and Petersen could have. Mitchell has not coached one game yet to my knowledge, it's way premature to even guess at this point.

I want to believe she can, she needs to make sure she surrounds herself with very knowledgable coaches, bc she is one heck of a closer in recruiting. I believe she will work out, I pray we can hold onto her as long as we did JJ.

I really believe she can and it is primarily due to the fact she can recruit. It's not rocket science it just takes the right person. And we aren't recruiting against p5's so while it is not an easy task it's not that "hard" here either. It takes determination, creativity and hard work. I truly believe it can be done despite what the critics may claim.

Pedersen also recruited some good looking transfers early. I hope and expect Mitchell to be much better, but I don't think there is much to base it on at this point. I am not knocking Mitchell's recruiting at all, I think she is doing about as good as she could with the timing of her hire and the run-down status of the program.
