I know the topic title is misleading, but didn't RV say in a podcast last season that North Texas was going to be having new uniforms for the 2015 season? I'm about 99% sure he did. If so, anyone have any idea if or when they are going to be unveiled?

I do think I remember something along those lines. It was something about Nike needing time to get our actual school colors in dye or some such thing. As for a preview, when it comes to uniforms, this athletic department is all about absolutely last minute surprise reveals. You might find a leaked cell phone shot or something, but no way are you going to see a July unveil.

In Podcast # 134 Evan and Harry revisit the painful loss against La. Tech, what went wrong and the glimmer of hope provided by Dajon Williams. UNT AD Rick Villarreal joins in for his weekly thoughts regarding the UNT athletic programs. We also take questions from the Chat room peanut gallery and other fun stuff.

You are correct. About the 42min mark of the podcast, RV mentions a change in the Nike manufacturing plant in 2015 creating a potential need for NT to move to a different template.

Someone help me to find where RV said ther would be new uniforms this season? Every time I listen to that I hear " might be required to change templates". Might is a far cry from "will", and it seems Nike is the one who will determine if new up is are required. OK, so what did I miss? I am sure something, but I don't want to get hopes up with some folks reading "might" as "will".

There was no "might" involved. He said that unis in 2015 are hqppening. I believe he even went as far as to say we WOULD have had new unis in 2014, but then that was when he spoke of the "situation" with nike. Let's not defend the porous decisions/actions of our AD and let's really try not to hold this AD less accountable than he is or isnt't already held. It's bad practice.

Please find that quote for me. I am not defending anything or anyone Mr. The Sky is Falling, just trying to get the facts. I would love to see new unis, but don't want to get my hopes up. So, please find that quote as all I recall is the stuff about might based on what Nike does. So, help a guy out and find that quote for me...hey, I'm great if we get new unis, but I don't want any of the "sky is falling" crowd to see a Might as yet another carved in tablets promise. I'll just wait right here for you to get back with me on that Ben. Thanks.

I just love off-season uni talk. It's tradition, right?

I think 3XL who does some pretty snazzy uni designs really should get involved in the new design IF there is one for 2015. He seems to have a great grasp of design and what players seem to prefer these days...like Oregon, Okie State, Baylor, etc.

Rick explained it on a pod cast so there's not a written "quote" to point to.

Excellent. Thanks...which one because the one in this thread that is mentioned says "might" not will...at least that is what I hear. Perhaps it is spelled out definitely in another Podcast. Anyone know which one if so?

yeah, decisions that have holes/flaws. Aka bad decisions. Here's an idea, let's stay on a topic that is productive rather than nitpicking my choice of words.

That's not a bad attempt to cover up a mistake, but it's not entirely convincing.
