NT wins, despite close finish. 2-1-2

I think this is the first CUSA championship win other than soccer who won regular season but not tournament.

Addition: Men cross country also won championship

Awesome finish for the consistently most successful athletic program at UNT. I know we can count on them even in down sports years.

Congratulations to mens golf on winning their first CUSA championship, great turnaround from finishing tenth last year at the conference tournament. Now we have three sports that have one CUSA titles: Men Cross Country, Mens Golf and Women's Soccer.

On the most consistent successful sport I would still go with women's soccer with Hedlind/soccer having nine titles, Stracke/golf and Lama/tennis with three titles.

Just historically, they have 3 conference titles in 4 years, 30 conference titles total, and obviously 4 national championships. Based on that there's no competition.

I was talking about present UNT coaches and the titles they have won. On history of the sport, yes mens golf has been around the longest where I believe W soccer and tennis were started in the late 90's.

ok, UNT got sent to the regional in Yale, where they will be competing as the 11 seed in a field of 14. The 5 best go to the final tournament.

Besdies UNT C-USA also sends Charlotte who is a 9 seed in theri regional and UAB who is a 5 seed in theirs. UNT just having beaten a five seed for the conference shoould give us some hope that the

y may have a small chance of pulling this off.
