Ok, I was fortunate enough to attend OU during Blake freshman campaign, and also attend NT during TMs "freshman" campaign at NT. I won't lie their games are similar, Blake is obviously much, much stronger and more physical than TM, but athletically I would give the nod to TM. I watched them both very close to court side. It is such a shame, that TM, did not have someone constantly pushing him like Blake did, imagine if he did. Phew.

Blake Griffin also seemed to understand what it took day in and day out in practice and on the court to be successful.

Tony's gone from the program, so he is obviously fair game, eh?

I am talking about Blake Griffin. As an OSU as wee, grad I saw a lot of Blake Griffin. Probably a ton more than you. Kid played with heart day in and day out. Never a question about the kid. But if you want to make some comparison out of it...sure, it is well documented that both in college and in the pros young Mr. Mitchell's work effort was questioned by a good many people...including the pro team that drafted him and even by his own comments after being drafted. Facts are facts...hard to dispute that even though you might try. Not even you could have missed all that....I thought. So, no fair game at all...just relating what I saw in Blake Griffin...you brought up Mitchell. If you have a problem with it, go look up Mitchell's own quotes and those of the Pistons early on regarding his draft position.

Never said anything about work ethic, just watching the game last night and it made me sad for TM that he never reached that peak, I though his shot and game were MORE athletic than Blakes, while Blake works his but off in the offseason, he learned that from home. I wish TM could have gotten some of that push from the STAFF here while at NT. Because, well we all know coaches are extended family from home.

Never said he was good either, simply comparing talents and athleticism, and how it is sad that not one of his coaches along the way busted his chops to work hard and taught him what that looked like.

I am sure Mitchell will be in our HOF someday. He may not have performed to expectations while here, but he still had a heckuva career in 1.5 seasons. Not sure why so many get pleasure in running him down.

That's simple. To protect those that are still employed at UNT.
