Shootout to my high school teammate, intramural teammate, and the center who took over for me after I graduated being the starting deep snapper. Watch out for those Arlington Martin walkons.

the d line gives me some hope. i like the depth and it looks like we may have some people who have stepped up and beat out a decent player, instead of someone getting the job because the backup isnt ready.

haboul beat out sir calvin. sir calvin isnt great, but he has had experience on a D1 football field and didnt look out of place. i would assume haboul will give us more than what sir calvin did and we upgraded that spot.

roberts beat out polk. polk is a senior and is undersized. looks good in passing situations. in the past, this staff has given the more experienced/older player the chance to win the job first. roberts must have really impressed the coaches for him to be named the starter flat out.

I still think it'll be Tillman and Combs by the time the season starts. D-end is one of our deepest positions.

thats cool. if they can beat out players that has played some D1 football, then i will assume we are upgrading and we are putting legit D1 talent on the football field.

It would be intersting to take a look at last Spring's 2 deep and compare it to the starters at UT last fall to see exactly how much change we can expect in fall workouts.

We've heard all along that the QB competition will be cut to two before fall, allowing Damarcus Smith a chance to compete. Looks like that means Dajon has been eliminated, and Means has been eliminated for some time now. It wouldn't surprise me if they eliminate Greer right off the bat to get max reps for Mcnulty and Smith.

DAJON should have 1,000 yards of bear crawls for turnovers in scrimmage settings, thats how he'll learn to quit turning it over not burying him on the depth chart. Although the fumble he had untouched was absolutely ridiculous in the scrimmage. This staff is an intriguing one.
