Rick, considering the '66 '67 and '68 teams had five total losses (3 to Memphis and one each to Arkansas and Tulsa) and played well against highly ranked teams, I would say they were the best when measured against NCAA football in that era. Today's teams are bigger and stronger, so obviously those late 60's teams would not do as well today.
