a decent amount of people at the scrimmage today.

Ready for the surprise of the day? The totally raw (and IMHO up to this point the total waste of coaching time) Caleb Chumley got inserted in a red zone situation (9 yrd line) and was a dropped ball away from throwing his first college scrimmage TD.......... . He actually hit the open receiver in his hands. Shanbour must have done a great job the last week or so of being his personal trainer, because (at least on this play) his throwing motion looked pretty good.. ..or at least serviceable.

The rest of the scrimmage was basically "meh" except for the exploits of a db who is really making a move to get into the starting rotation.....#14 on your program Cedric Fernandez from Arlington Martin. He had two int's and one "almost". And he was around the ball the rest of the time he was out there.

The two young men from Carthage continue to do very well. If there is not a rash of injuries this fall, we will be pretty set at the WR position.
